Ex-Sabah minister may lose state seat following ruling, State Legislative Assembly yet to make announcement

PUTRAJAYA, May 13 — The prosecution has objected to former Sabah infrastructure development minister Datuk Peter Anthony's application for a review of the Court of Appeal's earlier decision, which upheld his three-year jail sentence and RM50,000 fine for falsifying documents related to a maintenance and service contract at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

PUTRAJAYA, March 4 — The Court of Appeal has upheld former Sabah infrastructure development minister Datuk Peter Anthony’s conviction and sentence of three years imprisonment and RM50,000 fine for falsifying documents related to a maintenance and service contract at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) 11 years ago.

PUTRAJAYA, May 26 — The Court of Appeal has fixed July 28 for another case management of former Sabah infrastructure development minister Datuk Peter Anthony’s appeal to overturn his conviction, jail term and fine for forgery.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 — The High Court today set April 18 for its decision on the appeal of former Sabah Infrastructure Development Minister Datuk Peter Anthony to set aside his conviction and three-year prison sentence and a fine of RM50,000 for forgery of letters related to a maintenance and service contract at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

KOTA KINABALU, Jan 7 — Three Sabah assemblymen from Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) expressed their belief that Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor no longer commanded majority support as Sabah Chief Minister.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 16 — The High Court today struck out the prosecution's appeal against the Sessions Court's decision here which allowed the application of former Sabah Infrastructure Development Minister Datuk Peter Anthony to stay his sentence and conviction for using falsified documents.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 — The Sessions Court here today sentenced Datuk Peter Anthony to three years imprisonment and a fine of RM50,000 after he was found guilty of forging a letter for a Mechanical and Electrical Systems (M&E) maintenance work at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).
